Ivan Juric refused to blame the referee after nine-man Genoa were pegged back by Pescara in a very controversial game.

The Grifone should’ve had a penalty and Francesco Zampano sent off for a handball goal-line clearance, but it was not spotted by any of the officials.

Edenilson then received two yellow cards, followed five minutes later by a straight red for Goran Pandev due to dissent.

“There’s no point commenting on the referee, as mistakes can happen,” Coach Juric told Mediaset Premium.

“We made mistakes too and it’s only human. If Pandev said something nasty to the referee, it’s only right that he gets sent off.

“I don’t think Edenilson’s second bookable offence was particularly bad, though.”
There was some good news, as Giovanni Simeone scored his debut Serie A goal.

“Simeone is very quick at getting his shot away in the box and had also gone close to a goal against Napoli. In any case, he needs to improve a great deal in how he controls the ball and many other aspects.”
