Genoa President Enrico Preziosi was furious with referee Massimiliano Irrati. “If they want Pescara to stay in Serie A, just say so.”

It was a very controversial 1-1 draw at Marassi this afternoon.

Francesco Zampano cleared a shot off the line with his arm, not spotted by any of the officials.

Genoa then went down to nine men in the space of five minutes, as Edenilson (second booking) and Goran Pandev (dissent) saw red before the Delfini equalised.

“Why do the officials bother turning up with five or six if none of them can see anything?” blasted Preziosi on Mediaset Premium.

“There was a penalty and a red card. I don’t even want Irrati to bother giving an explanation, he just needs to shut up and take a very, very long rest. Honestly, he's crazy!

“It’s not just one error, the whole attitude was wrong. How can you not see that handball on the line?
