Astra Giurgiu Coach Marius Sumudica warns they “became heroes” by upsetting the odds at West Ham and can do it with Roma too.

The Europa League clash kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday at 20.05 UK time (19.05 GMT).

“I know it will be difficult and we must remain concentrated, because it’ll be tough regardless of their line-up or system,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We will have to sell players to overcome our financial problems. Even if we don’t win, the objective is to make a good impression.

“The important thing is that we don’t just defend, but also score goals. Last season in circa 40 matches we failed to score only twice.

“Roma are clearly the favourites and their 3-1 defeat to Torino at the weekend should not kid anyone. It’s a very strong side that attacks well, but we too have our methods and winning cards to play.

“Everyone said we’d be sacrificial lambs in London with West Ham (in the Europa League play-off), but in the end we won and became heroes. We hope to achieve another victory in Rome.

“It is important we play in a very aggressive way, as we must prove that we’re not here on vacation, we are here to win.”

There are reports Francesco Totti will start, just two days after his 40th birthday.

“He is a great man and an extraordinary player. He needs no introduction.”
