Massimo Moratti confirms a return as Inter President is “not in my plans”, despite recent media reports.
The former patron confirmed over the weekend that the Suning Group had asked him to return as the Nerazzurri’s figurehead, replacing Erick Thohir.
However, the ex-President has announced today that he will not be returning to work with the Chinese owners.
“I read this news too, but I don’t understand why it’s being talked about as a possible scenario,” Moratti told Tuttomercatoweb.
“So I can rule out an imminent return? Yes, absolutely. In the future? We’ll see, you never know.
“I’m sorry to disappoint, but I want to refute what has been said. An imminent return to the club is not in my plans.”
