Milan are eager to take Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea in January, as the Belgium international is getting so little playing time.

The 23-year-old forward arrived at Stamford Bridge over the summer for €40m after his time at Olympique Marseille.

This season he has managed just seven appearances in all club competition, scoring three goals with an assist.

Despite the excellent scoring ratio, Batshuayi played only 52 minutes of Premier League football and started just two EFL Cup games.

According to Mediaset Premium, Milan have approached Chelsea with the idea of taking him on loan in January.

This will allow him to have more regular playing time and help develop his form and fitness.

There is another option, which is that if the sale to a Chinese conglomerate has gone through by the mid-season transfer window, the Rossoneri could well attempt to buy Batshuayi outright.
