Marco Verratti “will play against Macedonia” tomorrow, said the Italy midfielder’s agent, who also discussed PSG, Napoli and Juventus.

The talent was surprisingly left out of a 1-1 draw with Spain on Thursday, though is expected to start Sunday’s World Cup qualifier in Skopje.

“Verratti respects every decision made by the Coach. He is fine and has no physical problems,” insisted agent Donato Di Campli on Radio Crc.

“He will play against Macedonia because he was told that he’d be playing on Sunday and not against Spain. It was not a good performance on Thursday, as Italy were too timid and lacking ideas. Spain dominated the match for almost 80 minutes, but the draw was golden.”

Di Campli said recently that it’s impossible to think Verratti will spend his entire career at Paris Saint-Germain, so could Napoli or Juventus be in his future?

“It has been four years since Verratti was linked with Napoli, so looking back won’t help now. Besides, Napoli have a very good squad.

“I feel Napoli are the real antagonists to Juve, but are still light years away from the Bianconeri in the way they run the club, the transfer market and how they approach players.”

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport has on its cover a suggestion that Verratti is an objective for Juventus.
