According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid had accepted Inter’s €85m offer for James Rodriguez, but the Colombian refused to move.
The club’s new Chinese owners Suning invested heavily over the summer with the likes of Joao Mario, Antonio Candreva, Gabigol and Ever Banega coming in.
A report in the Gazzetta, who visited Suning’s headquarters in Nanjing, claims that it was almost an even bigger transfer window for the Nerazzurri.
It’s claimed Inter had made an offer worth €85m for James Rodriguez and Real Madrid accepted the proposal during the final days of the summer.
However, the Colombia international turned down the move, as he is determined to stick it out and make his mark in Madrid.
Manchester United have also been heavily linked with James.
