Dybala arrived in European football four years ago with Palermo, but the attacker explained in an interview with La Clarin on Tuesday that the bigger shift in his life took he place when he joined Juve over the summer..

“Juventus have changed my life,” he said.

“What’s changed since I became a Juventus player? Many things, including fame.

“I’ve dreamt of [scoring] a goal [for Argentina] right from the start. It’s been a year. I was 12 and Messi was already playing for the national team.

“I dreamed of being by his side. Playing with him is easy, it takes two players to mark him, thus you have more space.

“Of course, we have to understand and study his moves. His [praise] is pleasing because it means I’m doing the right things and that he sees something in me.

“One day I’d like to retire with Instituto de Cordoba, but at the moment I have my objectives and thinking about what I’ll do in 10 years is complicated.

“Everything will depend on how I am physically. Higuain is 29 years old and at his best. I feel good like him.”
