Crotone risk postponing their Serie A debut at the Stadio Scida again, as restructuring work still doesn’t meet local council requirements.

The newly-promoted club are in their first ever top flight campaign and the unexpected boost to the big time meant their stadium was not up to code.

Calabrian side Crotone have been playing their home games at Pescara’s Stadio Adriatico so far this season.

The Scida was meant to be ready several weeks ago, but the opening was delayed by restructuring work.

Calabrian side Crotone have been playing their home games at Pescara’s Stadio Adriatico so far this season.

The Scida was meant to be ready several weeks ago, but the opening was delayed by restructuring work.

It was hoped their first match at the Stadio Scida would be against Napoli in 10 days.

However, an inspection by the local council found that certain cement reinforcements were against the orders drawn up in July and do not fit with archaeological protection parameters.

It now remains to be seen when the Scida will be given the all-clear to host Serie A games.
