Meanwhile, the new owners have already appointed CEO Fassone and director of sport Mirabelli.

Their first public appearance together was at Stamford Bridge, sitting in the stands for yesterday’s 3-0 Premier League victory over Leicester City.

According to Tuttosport newspaper, they took the opportunity to discuss the Fabregas situation with Chelsea chiefs.

The Spanish midfielder is not really in Coach Antonio Conte’s plans and could feasibly be released in January.

Milan particularly need a replacement for Riccardo Montolivo, who was ruled out for six months by a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
