Zamparini 'still wants to sell'

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has once again expressed a desire to sell the club.

The Rosanero take on Torino this evening at 19.45 GMT click here for a preview, in what will mark the club's 1000th match in Serie A.

"My wish in order to mark the occasion of 1000 matches in Serie A is to find the wonderful land of Palermo and Sicily the investors which will help the team to achieve important goals.

“The negotiations with the Chinese started 3-4 months ago which have occurred in parallel with other negotiations. In the meantime I will not close the door to anyone else.

"At the end of the month we have another meeting, the Chinese need more time to decide.

“Their availability is high and they want to invest in football. I hope for the future of Palermo they make a deal with me: today the odds stand at around 80-90%.

“It's my vision. What interests me is that they invest in the club, and build the new stadium and sports centre. The club must compete at a medium-high level."
