Gianluigi Donnarumma says he 'hopes to wear the Milan captain's armband in 10 years' time'.

After admitting that he 'felt the pressure' at the beginning of this season, the 17-year-old who has commanded a regular place in the starting lineup, assured that there would be 'no problems' with signing a new contract.

"We were not poor before and we are not a phenomenon now," Donnarumma continued in his interview with La Stampa. "We must continue to be humble, then we'll see where we can get.

"The secret? When you do not win, you become nervous. With [Vincenzo] Montella we have been given renewed enthusiasm and a growing awareness of our ability.

“My agent Mino Raiola is looking after my contract and I do not think there will be any problems.

“Playing in the team that I love, the one for which I have always supported, things could not get any better.

“How do I imagine myself at 38 years? I hope to still be in goal and maybe in 10 years I could also wear the Milan captain’s armband.

"Now there are other players who deserve it but in the future it could be me."
