“Let’s say we are in an emergency situation because there are important elements missing, but I am sure the rest will do everything to prove themselves,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

Stefan Radu is suspended with Bastos, Stefan de Vrij, Lucas Biglia, Jordan Lukaku, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ricardo Kishna sidelined.

“It’ll be a difficult game, we are forced to make some changes, but I saw my lads really eager to do well. I don’t know if De Vrij will be back for the Rome Derby. Unfortunately it was a fluke injury, he went to clear the ball and Ciro Immobile didn’t even see him. At first it seemed as if Ciro got the worst of that collision, but the x-rays showed Stefan had a fracture.

“Despite all this, the team must play to win in every fixture. We’ve not had five first team picks absent at the same time before, but these things can happen in football and we need to play for the win regardless.

“Tomorrow I’ll decide between Marco Parolo and Danilo Cataldi as the playmaker. They can both fulfil that role, but with different characteristics.”

It is a head-to-head for potential European qualification, as Toro are flying high with Inzaghi’s former Lazio teammate Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“Torino are doing very well and my friend Sinisa is doing a great job. He knows how to give an identity to his teams. I am not surprised by his career path. We got along very well and spoke regularly even after he left Lazio, so it’ll be nice to see him again.

“Let the best team win, which I hope will be Lazio. There are two excellent trident attacks on show and we have the utmost respect for Toro. It’ll be a packed stadium and a pleasure to play in that atmosphere.”

Lazio squad for Torino: Marchetti, Strakosha, Vargic; Basta, Hoedt, Patric, Prce, Vinicius, Wallace; Cataldi, Felipe Anderson, Leitner, Luis Alberto, Lulic, Murgia, Parolo; Djordjevic, Immobile, Keita, Lombardi
