“All signs suggest the closing will be by the end of November, so presumably this will be the last Milan-Juventus of the Silvio Berlusconi era,” CEO Galliani told Mediaset Premium.

“They have been 30 marvellous years, but let’s wait before making commemorations. We’re focused on the game and it’s between the two most successful Italian clubs – Juve won more in Serie A, Milan in Europe.

“When Berlusconi bought Milan there was a great defence and many players coming through from the youth academy. Although 30 years have passed, history is repeating itself. This Milan too, ready to change ownership, is full of talented youngsters.”
