Alessio Romagnoli credited Vincenzo Montella with uniting the Milan squad and assured he has no intention of joining Chelsea.
The 21-year-old centre-back put in a strong performance in this evening’s 1-0 victory over Juventus, which put them only two points off the Serie A leaders.
“It was a great game and a wonderful feeling. We must continue like this,” he told Mediaset Premium.
“We want to get into Europe, but it all depends on us. If we carry on in this vein, then we can really go far. The table is tight and we’re only at Week 9, so let’s enjoy the moment.
“Montella did well to turn us into a united group. He gave us a sense of calm and you can see it.”
Romagnoli was the subject of a massive bid from Chelsea over the summer and Antonio Conte could try again in January.
“I am happy at Milan and in Italy, so I hope to remain here.”
