Marco Giampaolo “expects an equal refereeing performance” when Sampdoria visit Juventus tomorrow night.
It kicks off on Wednesday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), click here for a match preview.
It is the first game since Miralem Pjanic’s goal was incorrectly disallowed in the 1-0 defeat to Milan, so in the Press conference Samp Coach Giampaolo was asked if he was worried about the situation.
“I think it is an opportunity for Juve to prove they are beyond all suspicion. I always had great faith in the referees and Paolo Tagliavento proved that in our win over Genoa at the weekend. He kept the game in hand without losing the spirit of a Derby.
“Tomorrow will be a complicated match. I expect, as always, an equal refereeing performance that must not try to make up for what happened three days earlier.
“The Derby was a marvellous game for our fans and they will enjoy it. As for the team, we’ve got to put that behind us and focus on the task at hand.
“When you win the Derby, it does give you a boost and more self-confidence can help you play with less pressure. Juventus have a thousand resources to call upon for victory.
“It is the right moment to make a few changes, as I need fresh legs to keep us in the game. We must try to be competitive with Juve both on physical and technical terms.”
The Blucerchiati are without injured Emiliano Viviano, Daniel Pavlovic, Dodo and Carlos Carbonero.
