The striker was visibly furious and frustrated when taken off during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat in Turin and Sarri later said he needed to “shut up” in these situations.

There were evidently no hard feelings, as Insigne started tonight’s 1-1 Champions League draw with Besiktas.

“My reaction was wrong in the game against Juventus,” Insigne told Mediaset Premium.

“Quite simply I felt fine, but I clarified everything with the Coach and my teammates. The important thing is to always be united.”

The player was seen shouting “but I’m fine!” when coming off the field, as Sarri believed he was struggling with cramp and therefore not tracking back.
