Luciano Spalletti was not entirely happy with Roma’s 4-2 victory at Austria Vienna, as “these are goals we shouldn’t be conceding.”

The Giallorossi went 1-0 down in the opening two minutes and then let in another goal late on.

“Austria Vienna have some interesting forward players, but the second goal came from a moment of relaxation, which ought to be avoided,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“Austria Vienna have some interesting forward players, but the second goal came from a moment of relaxation, which ought to be avoided,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“These are goals we shouldn’t be conceding. Nonetheless, we are getting into the right groove, the determination to win the games.

“Against Empoli at the weekend I also saw improvement in terms of character and mentality. This performance tonight confirmed those impressions and I am very happy with that.

“We are becoming more of a team and can do things without so much stress. There are still some times when we need to pinch ourselves to stay alert, such as on the second goal.

“I won’t say that we are cured, but we are on the road to recovery.”
