Today Giampiero Ventura will name his Italy squad for Liechtenstein and Germany games with some reported new faces to feature.
The Azzurri visit Liechtenstein in the 2018 World Cup qualifier on Saturday November 12, then host Germany in a prestigious friendly at San Siro on Tuesday November 15.
According to the latest reports, there will be several changes to the side that Ventura has so far fielded, including a move to the 4-2-4 system, scrapping Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2.
Among the newcomers are 21-year-old Torino left-sided winger Antonio Barreca and 22-year-old Atalanta defender Mattia Caldara.
Simone Zaza could get a recall after his bedding in period with West Ham United, but there should be a return to the Azzurri for Stephan El Shaarawy and Lorenzo Insigne too.
Nicola Sansone is again called after his impressive form for Villarreal, but Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi is still out injured.
Atalanta winger Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez was expected to be in the squad, but more careful investigation has found the Argentine is ineligible.
