Roma striker Edin Dzeko is perplexed over why he was sent off for Bosnia after pulling down the shorts of an opponent.

His national side drew 1-1 with Greece on Sunday, and the 30-year-old was not only unhappy at the sending off for the incident with Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but also with the result of the World Cup qualifier.

"I do not understand the reason for my expulsion, Dzeko told the Press after the game. "I cannot explain why the referee has sent me off."

"They said I started the fight myself, but how could I do that if I was the only one to have fallen to the ground?

"I feel as if we lost 3-0, Greece did not deserve the draw.

"In fact, they didn’t even deserve to be beaten narrowly, but by a four-goal margin.

"I cannot wait to meet the Greeks in the return fixture!"
