Lichtsteiner aims for Juventus return

Stephan Lichtsteiner confirms he “hopes to return” to Juventus’ Champions League list in February.

The Swiss full-back was left out of the squad for Europe, having been linked with a move away from the club in the summer.

“Now I’m thinking about doing well with Juventus,” Lichtsteiner told RSI.

“I’m thinking about winning the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, for which I hope to return to the list in February.

“When you’re at a big club you always think about winning. It’s hard to enjoy wins, because you have to think about the next wins and the next objectives.

“At Juventus, if we don’t win the sixth Scudetto in a row it will be a defeat. You’re at Juventus to win, and if you don’t then it’s time for a change of scenery.

“I’ve won 10 trophies in five years, so I’m happy.”
