Leonardo Bonucci admits Juventus “are not playing great football” but “right now all that counts is scoring points”.
The Bianconeri are top of Serie A, and will go top of their Champions League group with a win at Sevilla next midweek.
However, Massimiliano Allegri’s side have been criticised for their style of play so far this season, but Bonucci is not concerned.
“I’m objective: we’re not playing great football,” Bonucci told reporters.
“We’re in November though, and there’s time to improve. Right now all that counts is scoring points, then in January and February we’ll be able to train consistently and try something more.
“With [Paulo] Dybala and [Marko] Pjaca we’ll raise our level in training and also the game.
“We shouldn’t even think about the idea of failing to get through in the Champions League, that’s our goal. We’ve watched Sevilla, they cause problems for everyone in the Spanish League, but we’ll go there with the right awareness.
“Honestly, if you look at the other groups this year it’s really relative finishing first or second, then you have to be lucky in the draw.
“We have to be convinced we can come top though.”
