Ciro Immobile said his first priority over the summer was Lazio and he got back his confidence in front of goal.
The striker had difficult spells at Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Torino before rediscovering his form at the Stadio Olimpico.
“During the Euros I already knew Lazio was a possibility,” he told Lazio Style Radio.
“They were my first priority and my first choice. I worked a lot over the summer, but still didn’t expect to score on my debut in Bergamo.

“That was such a strong feeling, as the goal broke the ice and was important in helping me gain confidence. I hope to score many more.”
Immobile also looked back over his career, including Serie B success at Zdenek Zeman’s Pescara and the explosion at Torino under Giampiero Ventura.
“Pescara was an extraordinary season in every sense. We won the Serie B title, I was Capocannoniere and won the award for best player of the tournament. It really could not have gone any better.
“The step up to Serie A was not easy. I struggled in the first seven games and couldn’t find the goal, but as soon as I scored, I felt everything change and there was trust in me.
“From that moment our magical season began, at the end of which we qualified for the Europa League and I won the Capocannoniere title.”
