The representatives from owners Suning Group are pledging to spend more time in Milan to ensure the club hierarchy is close to the team and new Coach Stefano Pioli.

“Inter is a huge responsibility for Suning. We feel very involved in this project,” the board members told Inter Channel.

“Our aim is to get positive results on the pitch and the hope is to achieve big targets. It is equally important to communicate the right energy to our fans.

“Inter is an Italian football club with roots in Milan and this is a priority for us. However, Suning’s desire is to develop Inter elsewhere in order to make the club stronger and bring the Nerazzurri colours back to the top of the world.

“Unfortunately, it’s difficult to win every game, but we want every single person at the club to embody Inter’s values, spreading a positive message to fans all around the world.

“This is our philosophy: We are Brothers of the World and we believe passionately in this.”

Steven Zhang confirmed he wants to learn Italian as soon as possible, spending 70 per cent of his time in Italy working with the club.

Jun Liu was appointed as the new CEO after Michael Bolingbroke’s contract was terminated.
