Udinese Coach Gigi Del Neri felt “quality made the difference” in their 2-1 home defeat to Napoli this evening.

Lorenzo Insigne ended his goal drought that had lasted since April by bagging a brace.

“They scored the first goal on a move that is typical of Napoli, while on the second it was our individual error,” Del Neri told Mediaset Premium.

“We did well and played our game, having a great chance in the first half with Duvan Zapata, but then the quality in the Napoli squad made the difference.

“These are fixtures you can lose, as our objective is to secure Serie A safety. We have to make fewer errors and play with the utmost intensity.

“We didn’t allow Napoli very much, so we have realised we can take on sides like this with dignity, something we also proved against Juventus.”
