Milan are expected to make a decision on starting Alessio Romagnoli only at the last minute ahead of tonight’s showdown with Inter.
It kicks off at 19.45 GMT, click here for a match preview.
The defender picked up a thigh injury during Tuesday’s international friendly between Italy and Germany, which was also played at San Siro.
At first it seemed as if he would not be risked with such a rapid recovery, but Romagnoli did take part in yesterday’s training session.
It’s reported a final decision will be made just before tonight’s Derby della Madonnina.
There will be a run-out this morning and that will also prove crucial, as Romagnoli will meet with the Coaching staff and medics to discuss the situation.
If he doesn’t make it, then Gustavo Gomez is the favourite to start rather than Cristian Zapata.
