The Giallorossi seemed to be in absolute control with that early brace, but managed to twice let the Delfini back into it for a final 3-2 result.

“We started well, but evidently felt comfortable with 2-0 and settled,” the striker told Mediaset Premium.

“We gave the ball away too many times and did not play better than Pescara at all. We wanted to score more goals, this really isn’t good enough and it makes everything more difficult.

“What mattered were the three points, so on that count we are satisfied, but we can’t keep doing this. If Roma play like this, we’re not going to win the derby next week.”

Dzeko is now Capocannoniere in Serie A with 12 goals, after also netting a hat-trick in the Europa League on Thursday.

“I feel good, but I always want to do more.”
