Reports say Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi is almost ready for a return to action, following a knee injury that has kept him out since the end of August.
The 22-year-old made an explosive start to the campaign, scoring seven goals in six appearances across all competitions for the Neroverdi.
Since suffering the injury, reports have been unclear as to when Berardi might return, but calciomercato.it report that this could come sometime before the Winter Break.
Starting from when Sassuolo take on Fiorentina on December 12th, the Reggio Emilia-based club then take on Inter and Cagliari in the space of the next ten days.
Berardi could reportedly make his comeback at any point during this period, and the player would be a welcome addition to Coach Eusebio Di Francesco’s squad.
An injury-hit season has recently been compounded by the loss of experienced midfielder Davide Biondini who suffered an achilles tendon rupture against Athletic Bilbao last week.
