Daniele Rugani said Juventus used last week’s defeat to fire themselves up and sweep Atalanta aside 3-1 tonight.

The defender was on target this evening in Turin, shaking off the 3-1 defeat at Marassi.

“Against Genoa it was a slip-up that can happen, but we’ve metabolised it already,” Rugani told Mediaset Premium.

“We stepped on to the field determined and managed to play a Juventus-style game.

"We learned from that defeat and it taught us to do the exact opposite, in other words start the game fired up and determined.

“I am happy for the goal and to have given my contribution. I dedicate it to all those who have been close to me.”
