Stoke City have joined Everton and West Ham in the chase for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini, but the price-tag is £20m (€24m).

The forward is expected to leave in the January transfer window, as he does not fit into Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 formation.

His agent confirmed they are looking towards a move abroad rather than reinforcing one of their Serie A rivals.

Everton had already been very close to signing Gabbiadini over the summer and remain interested, as do West Ham United.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim this weekend that Stoke City have suddenly emerged as favourites for the Italy international.

It was reported that Everton had made an offer worth £14.5m, but Napoli want at least £20m for the 25-year-old free kick specialist.

Wolfsburg and Valencia are other options for Gabbiadini.
