Sinisa Mihajlovic felt Torino were “unlucky and a draw would’ve been considered fair” after their 2-0 defeat to Sampdoria.

“It was an intense game that we played in an open way. We had chances in the first half and hit the woodwork, but were unlucky,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We created more opportunities after the Samp opener, but lacked the determination to finish them off. I think if we had drawn here, it would’ve been considered fair.

“Let’s just say we had a strong run of results, nothing changes in the table and there’s a long way to go.

“Torino have the second most prolific attack in Serie A, we need to marry quality with determination. I always tell my lads we need to follow our principles – the history of this club that must be honoured and an attacking style of football.”

Next weekend is the Derby della Mole with Serie A leaders Juventus.

“I hope it will be an entertaining derby on the pitch and in the stands, played in a physical way, but also with quality. We have the utmost respect for Juve, but know if we play like Toro – as we have done many times this season – then we can beat them.”
