Shenzhen FC have parted company with Clarence Seedorf and replaced him with former Lazio boss Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Seedorf was only appointed Shenzhen Coach in the summer, but achieved a ninth-place finish in China’s second tier.
The early exit is Seedorf’s second of his managerial career, having also been fired by Milan at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.
Succeeding the former Netherlands midfielder is Eriksson, who was recently culled by top-flight side Shanghai SIPG.
As well as guiding Lazio to the Scudetto in 2000, the Swede has also coached Sampdoria, Fiorentina and Roma in Serie A.
“Mr. Seedorf and Shenzhen Football club had different views about the club's new development strategy and both have decided, with great respect, to move forward independently,” read a statement.
“Shenzhen Football Club sincerely thanks Mr. Seedorf for his devotion, enthusiasm and professionalism, and international level of football philosophy that was put into the club by Mr. Seedorf and his coaching team will be valuable treasures of the club. With this we wish him well.”
