Former Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has reportedly agreed an 18-month contract with Serie B side Novara.
According to iamcalcio.it, Macheda is official confirmation away from becoming a Novara player until the end of next season.
The 25-year-old had been a free agent after his release by Cardiff City over the summer.
Macheda rose to prominence as a teenager at Manchester United, scoring a stunning, last-minute winner against Aston Villa on his debut.
However, he went on embark on several, mainly unsuccessful, loan spells away from United and made just 27 appearances for Cardiff in two seasons.
The attacker was also reportedly knocked back by Napoli and Palermo in September.
