The Biancocelesti defender is facing a lengthy ban for a racist slur against Antonio Rudiger after Sunday’s derby, but Giallorossi fans chanted about him being a “gypsy” when they visited training yesterday.

“We’re giving an opportunity to re-establish contact between the team and the fans,” Baldissoni explained at a Press conference today, with the Ultras boycotting Stadio Olimpico.

“Tre Fontane [training ground] has its limitations, but we’re happy to have restored it.

“You know how committed we are to building the Stadio della Roma; we hope to finish the administrative process early next year because giving the city and the fans somewhere to celebrate is a sign of growth.

“Yesterday it was great to see so many at Tre Fontane: children, the elderly, families.

“There was a brief moment when they started chants against an opponent [Lulic], chants characterised by insults and hatred which were silenced immediately by the reaction of others.

“It’s everyone’s responsibility to regain the purity of joy. We’re beautiful as we are, let’s celebrate when singing, not be preoccupied by directing hate at others.”
