Inter have officially confirmed that midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has renewed his contract until 2021.
The Croatian was frozen out of the squad earlier this season after a row with then-Coach Frank de Boer, but has been reinstated under Stefano Pioli.
Both Juventus and Chelsea tried to sign the former Dinamo Zagreb man this summer, but the Nerazzurri refused to even open negotiations, and have now tied down the 24-year-old.
“Marcelo Brozovic has signed a contraction extension until 2021,” a short statement on the Beneamata's official Twitter profile confirmed.
Brozovic’s previous deal was due to run until 2019, and the two-year extension is expected to include a significant wage rise.
