“We often came close, but got the final ball wrong. I liked the spirit of the second half, but the fact is we’ve got a lot of work to do.
“I was pleased to hear the fans continued supporting and chanting for us even after the final whistle. I don’t think there’s any problem with them.
“It’s not an easy path going forward.”
