Sergio Pellissier believes he’s like Francesco Totti and Alex Del Piero as “I’ve spent a third of my life” at Chievo.
The striker signed for the Flying Donkeys in 2000, and has played for the club in the UEFA Cup and Champions League.
After relegation to Serie B, the forward stayed to fire them back to the top-flight, where he is the club’s record goal scorer.
“Am I like Totti and Del Piero?” Pellissier considered, referencing the Roma and Juventus legends.
“We share the sense of being part of something, in my case Chievo. I’ve spent a third of my life here.
“I’m proud of it, especially in a world which changes every year. The best thing is being able to show everyone that you’re not finished.”
Pellissier is a one-cap wonder for Italy, though he actually scored in his one appearance against Northern Ireland.
“The joy will remain forever, because I earned it [the call-up] with my strength.”
