Sky Sport Italia claim Napoli have agreed terms with both Genoa and Leonardo Pavoletti for a transfer worth €18m.
The 28-year-old Italy international striker has long been the favourite to come in during the January transfer window during Arkadiusz Milik’s injury lay-off.
According to transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, a deal has now been done with all parties in agreement.
Genoa are set to receive €18m for Pavoletti, the forward agreed personal terms and gave the all-clear for this move to the Stadio San Paolo.
The only remaining obstacle remains a medical, because Pavoletti has suffered from several injury problems this season.
He has been out of action since the end of November and hopes to be available after the Christmas break.
With Pavoletti coming in, Manolo Gabbiadini is heading towards the exit, as Valencia, Stoke City and West Ham United are thought to be interested.
