“It was an important year for me, as I made dreams come true and things happened that I never expected, but I have to continue like this and hope to do well in the next year too,” Locatelli told MilanNews.it.

He was arriving at San Siro for this evening’s Christmas celebration of the Primavera youth team, which he was a part of until very recently.

“I have to keep working, because the best is yet to come. It’s wonderful being here as a representative of the senior squad. Special people work for the academy, as Filippo Galli, Cristian Brocchi and Walter De Vecchi helped me a great deal.

“Montolivo has always set the example for me and is a very special person. Ignazio Abate and Jack Bonaventura were also very helpful.

“The Coach tells me to keep things simple.”
