“It’s a difficult game, the lads did well to put the derby behind them and focus on the Sampdoria match. We played very well from start to finish and only conceded right at the end.

“We had a good game against Samp and the fixture list over the next few days is going to be very tough. We have to evaluate the situations.

“We haven’t yet talked about Inter, as first we have a very important game with Fiorentina. We’re taking on big clubs, but still step on to the field looking for the win.”

Marco Parolo is suspended, so Danilo Cataldi should start in midfield.

“I think so, but we’ll see after today’s training session,” continued Inzaghi in his Press conference.

“Lazio tend to do better against the big clubs because subconsciously we feel that we can ‘get away with’ less concentration and therefore make silly individual errors. Clearly, if someone struggles against the big clubs, it’s more difficult to get back on track.

“Fiorentina play good football and have an excellent Coach. We need to take away their possession football and cut off the service.

“We want to create enthusiasm around us as we push towards the top places. Federico Marchetti is fine and he will be in goal. I can play with three at the back or use Bastos and Senad Lulic as full-backs. Lulic is very important, as he can play two or three different roles.

“Felipe Anderson is also versatile and at times went deep enough to act as a right-back. I hope he can make the difference and allow us to win many more games.

“Ciro Immobile will break his drought soon enough and as a former striker myself, I am not worried. A centre-forward only has to worry when he doesn’t get chances and he did hit the bar in Palermo.”
