Galliani: 'Bacca is not for sale'

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani insists Carlos Bacca “is absolutely off the market” and they could sign Mario Pasalic from Chelsea.

The Rossoneri host Atalanta at 17.00 GMT, follow the action as it happens on the Liveblog.

“Bacca is not for sale. I repeat, he is absolutely off the market,” Galliani told Mediaset Premium.

“The youth levels of the Nazionale are doing well, passion remains for football in Italy and we are growing talented players.

“Atalanta have some excellent young players and their project is also in line with what I and President Berlusconi are thinking of. The future? Only God knows that.

“I really liked our performance against Roma. At the start of the season we thought our first choice midfield would be Montolivo-Kucka-Bonaventura. Without all three, we still played on level terms with Roma. We’re happy.

“Pasalic is a player who did well at youth level, but his progress was stalled by injuries. He can come back to being what he was. In Croatia Pasalic is considered to be on the same level as Luka Modric, who is one of the best midfielders in the world.

“We had this opportunity, we do have the option to buy and we’ll see what to do next summer.”
