Giacomo Bonaventura trusts Milan can surprise Juventus and Torino after progressing to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

Andrea Belotti had given Toro the lead at San Siro, but Juraj Kucka and Bonaventura turned it around to win 2-1.

“We were a little slow in the first half and didn’t move the ball quickly enough. We stepped up a bit in the second half and our quality emerged,” the midfielder told Rai Sport.

“I like being in midfield and can get a few more shots when further up the pitch, but to be honest when the side is this organised, I have no preference.”

Milan will visit Juventus in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals on January 25, effectively a replay of both last season’s Coppa Italia Final and the Supercoppa Italiana clash in Doha from December.

“Juventus are a very strong side and a tough obstacle to overcome, but we will give it our best shot.”

Before that, the Rossoneri face Torino again, this time at the Stadio Grande Torino, in Serie A on Monday night.

“We’ve seen Torino are a difficult team to face and on Monday we need to do if possible even better than this evening.”
