Agent Federico Pastorello has revealed that his clients Giuseppe Rossi and “deal of the century” Alessio Cerci could join Lazio in the near future.
Rossi has scored just three goals in 16 appearances for Celta this season, while Cerci has made only the one runout - against third-tier opponents in the Copa del Rey - for Atletico Madrid, and Pastorello claimed both forwards were possible targets for Lazio.
“Giuseppe is still hoping to go to the World Cup, his experience at Celta Vigo is giving him valuable feedback from the physical point of view,” the representative told La Politica.
“He’s had no problems for the past year and a half and the knee is responding well.
“His future? We’ll see what happens. He could return in Italy. There had been contact with Lazio and Tare always liked him. A partnership with Immobile would be interesting.
“Cerci? He’s overcome the physical problems that plagued him in Milan and Genoa and he’s ready to go like a spring, who would be the deal of the century [for a team].
“Lazio? They’ve always liked him, he’d fit in well with Inzaghi’s system. It could be a possibility.”
