Andrea Belotti reveals he was supposed to take the penalty that Adem Ljajic failed to convert in Torino’s 2-2 draw with Milan.

The Granata were 2-0 up when Ljajic saw his spot-kick parried by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

“I was meant to be take it, but Ljajic felt ready to take it and so he did,” Belotti told Sky Sport Italia.

“Unfortunately for us, the goalkeeper stayed on the spot and therefore saved it.”

Belotti was asked who will take the next Torino penalty.

“Me. Donnarumma’s a scary figure, though. He’s huge and covers the entire goalmouth.

“Unfortunately tonight we had a general blackout, then resumed playing once they had equalised. We’ve got to improve and show more character.”

Belotti is no stranger to Donnarumma, as he saw a last-gasp penalty saved by the Milan goalkeeper in Week 1.
