Alessandro Florenzi is reportedly near to a Roma return after tearing his ACL at the end of October.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 25-year-old has been running and kicking a ball in training sessions and will be re-evaluated in early February.

Nearing the final stages of his recovery, the Italian newspaper suggests the Italian international could even be called to the squad for the match with Fiorentina on February 7th.

This date would be ambitious however, with a return more likely on or after the match with Crotone the following week.

ACL injuries such as these normally take around six months to heal, but Florenzi joins Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik in those who have recovered much more quickly than expected.
