Time is running out to find a replacement, but Sky Sport Italia claim the latest favourite is Bologna centre-forward Destro.
There has been some indirect contact with his entourage, but Bologna are reported to want €20m for the 25-year-old.
It was director Pantaleo Corvino who brought Destro to Bologna last season from Roma for €8.5m plus €3m bonuses and he is now in charge of Fiorentina’s transfer strategy.
Destro has four goals and two assists in 17 competitive games this season.
Another candidate is Romania international Andone, currently plying his trade in Spain with Deportivo La Coruna.
The 23-year-old only arrived from Cordoba in July 2016 for €4m.
This term he has scored six goals with two assists in 18 Liga appearances.
