Paolo Maldini reveals he turned down offers from Arsenal and Chelsea in the 1990s, “but never intended to leave Milan.”

The Italy legend was a one-club man, going from the youth academy to the captaincy at San Siro, winning every major trophy in 854 competitive games for the Rossoneri.

“I received two offers in the mid-1990s: one from Chelsea and the other from Arsenal,” Maldini told Top Calcio 24.

“In those years Milan had two seasons with a few problems, but I never intended to leave.
