Juventus could recall midfielder Leonardo Spinazzola from Atalanta 18 months early, confessed his agent, to replace Patrice Evra.
The 23-year-old is a left-sided midfielder who can also play at left-back.
He came up through the Juve youth academy and is currently on loan to Atalanta until June 2018.
“Leonardo did important things with the Juventus Primavera squad, including the Golden Boy Award as best player in the Viareggio tournament,” agent Davide Lippi told Tuttojuve.com.

“He is a player the Bianconeri have always relied on. He went around on loan to get experience, this season has found his dimension and I also believe his best role, as playing as a deeper wing-back can be his position in future, whether it’s three or four at the back.
“He is doing great things with Atalanta. There is an agreement with the club for a two-year loan, but there is an option for Juventus, so he is still their player.
“Now certainly they will have thought about recalling him early and we are thinking about it. We’ll see, there are another 10 days left in the transfer session.”
This season Spinazzola has made 14 Serie A appearances for Atalanta, plus two in the Coppa Italia, providing one assist.
Juventus are set to lose left-back Evra during the window, as he is close to Olympique Marseille, so recalling Spinazzola would ensure they have a ready-made replacement.
