“Perhaps in the first half we could’ve kept the ball a bit more and chosen the final pass better, but these are the details that can decide a competition. Both try to play and this time the details penalised us.
“Napoli have a large squad and can rotate to maintain a high level of intensity. I thought of keeping Borja Valero to the end for an extra boost.
“The goal arrived on the counter from our own move. We didn’t make the right decisions and the attacking transition went behind us. They have quality and pace, so it’s not easy, and the cross was precise to the millimetre.
“When Insigne is on form, he can always make the difference. Without the Coppa Italia semi-final, we’ll have more time to prepare for our games and focus on Serie A and the Europa League.

When speaking to Rai Sport, Sousa was asked about the rumours he could be the next Juventus Coach after Max Allegri.
“Let’s say I try to make the best decisions for my growth, to improve myself first so that I can then improve my players.”
