Inter could reportedly bring in striker Roger Martinez of Jiangsu Suning as a backup to Mauro Icardi.
The Chinese Super League side are owned by the Suning Group, who also control Inter.
With the help of Inter DS Piero Ausilio, Jiangsu snapped up the 22-year-old in the summer for around €9m. The Colombian has since scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 17 appearances.
After the player's agent hinted that his client may join Inter, Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Nerazzurri may decide to bring the player to the peninsula as a backup for Mauro Icardi.
The same report also states that the club are considering a bid for Andrea Petagna as an alternative option.
The 21-year-old has impressed this season in his 15 appearances for Atalanta, racing off the blocks with three goals in his first five matches this term.
